Role Description This volunteer Board Member role is a hybrid position based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. Board Members are expected to attend regular board meetings, participate in committee work, and contribute to strategic planning and governance. Day-to-day responsibilities may include reviewing organizational performance and financial reports, providing guidance on program development, and supporting fundraising and partnership initiatives. Board Members serve as ambassadors for Cloud100, helping to strengthen community relationships and advocate for the organization’s mission. The role requires a consistent commitment to ethical oversight, long-term vision, and collaborative decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience in nonprofit governance or board service, including familiarity with strategic planning, fiduciary oversight, and organizational stewardship.
• Background in education, youth development, workforce development, or social impact initiatives, with an understanding of challenges facing underprivileged youth.
• Skills in fundraising, donor relations, or partnership development, with the ability to help expand Cloud100’s financial and community support.
• Professional experience in technology, innovation, or digital programs that can inform Cloud100’s tech-enabled services.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, mission-focused board environment.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices, and alignment with Cloud100’s values and youth empowerment mission.
• Residence in or strong ties to the Atlanta Metropolitan Area and willingness to attend in-person and virtual meetings on a regular schedule.
